Jan Mareš is a data scientist at Vitadio, a healthcare company which develops digital therapeutics for type 2 diabetes, and a research consultant at The World Bank for the Global Tax Incentives Database project. His former research in academia focused on economic growth, inequality, financial development, and tax evasion. Jan taught undergraduate classes of Macroeconomics I, II, and Principles of Economics II. He also has experience in the public sector, where he worked in the economic modelling department at the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic.
Apart from that, he is active within Prázdninová škola Lipnice - Czech Experiential Learning Centre and you can meet him swing dancing, cycling, and mountaineering.
